Search Engine Optimization
*Search engine optimization (SEO) is neither an art nor a science, but it is the way that companies achieve higher “natural” rankings in the search engines. The process includes detailed research to identify words and phrases that a searcher might use to find what you offer, link building, keyword placement, keyword density, copywriting and page layout. The entire process is designed to get a website indexed, and naturally and ethically ranked.

To be implemented correctly, SEO must be broken down into 2 distinct factors "on-page" and "off-page" criteria. On Page Characteristics are anything you can effect within the construction of a single page. This includes everything that is placed in the headers, body, and on-page links (both internal and external), keyword proximity, density and relevance. Off Page Characteristics refer to all links (both from pages contained within your own website and from pages of other websites) that point to your specific page(s). The term "PageRank" is specifically designated to evaluate and weight "off page" criteria. Both on-page and off-page strategies begin with a detailed keyword analysis.

LMG search engine optimization strategy begins with a keyword analysis. It begins with a list of keywords you recommend, but our research will use statistical data to provide the historical search volume as well as to suggest permutations on your keyword phrases that also rank highly. Our analysis will reveal who is searching and, more importantly, how they are searching.

Our “PageRank” report will demonstrate the ranking of your website and the websites of your competitors. Above all, in the end, it will provide a clear benchmark by which to judge the effectiveness of LMG’s Internet marketing on your behalf. As defined by Google, “PageRank interprets a link from Page A to Page B as a vote for Page B by Page A. PageRank then assesses a page's importance by the number of votes it receives [which is called your ‘link popularity.’] ‘Important’ pages receive a higher PageRank and appear at the top of the search results.

Following is a summary of the LMG SEO process:
  1. Client submits initial list of keywords
  2. LMG researches keyword search volume and permutations
  3. Competitor websites analyzed for keywords and PageRank
  4. Keywords are selected
  5. Client’s internal pages are optimized accordingly
  6. Creation of robots.txt, info.txt and XML site map files
  7. Creation of 150 LMG SmartPages—pages that have been optimized for specific keywords, for specific search engines, indexes and directories
  8. Uploading and testing of optimized site
  9. Five rounds of submission to the “free” search engines
  10. Five round of submission to the paid search engines
  11. Regularly scheduled PageRank checking, analysis and changes accordingly
  12. Detailed, regular reports presented to client
